Planting schemes

Perhaps you have a bed or area in your garden which is just not working... or is only working for the local weeds! Or maybe you have a spot where you want to create a particular atmosphere: a place to relax with a good book and a cup of tea (or something a little stronger…), somewhere to encourage the kids to explore, or for wildlife to thrive. We can create the planting which will bring your idea to life.

  1. Create a planting scheme We’ll create a bespoke planting scheme, including a scale drawing of the site and visuals of proposed plants. As you’d expect this will be tailored to your garden’s physical attributes (e.g soil, orientation, moisture levels etc), as well as your individual preferences in terms of style or particular plants. Schemes are crafted with care to ensure year-round interest.

  2. Planting scheme discussion We’ll meet again to talk through the planting scheme and the reasons behind the recommendations.

  1. Planting scheme finalisation After our meeting, we’ll send you a finalised planting scheme incorporating any tweaks we’ve discussed in our meeting. Some clients are then happy to implement the scheme themselves, while others are keen for us to complete the project – in which case read on!

  2. Implementation: The plan gets real! This stage includes sourcing of plants, soil preparation and planting up the beds.

  3. Maintenance plan: If you like, we’re very happy to provide a month-by month-plan for your new beds, helping you to ensure your new plants thrive and your beds stay looking tip top.

What to expect

As a local business we work flexibly with clients, but this is our general approach:

  1. Getting to know what you want A complimentary site visit to understand what you’re looking to achieve and what the challenges are, and discuss any budget you have in mind.

  2. Create a proposal Once we understand what work is required, we’ll cost up the project and send this to you for your review.

Take a look at our project page to see some examples of our previous work.
